Malkin Named NHL's Star Of Month
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin was named the NHL's Star of the Month for December.
In 14 games in December, Malkin totaled 20 points — six goals, 14 assists — and rung off a nine-game point streak. He's currently sixth in the league with 43 points (15 goals).
Tampa Bay forward Steven Stamkos was selected as the NHL's No. 2 star and Vancouver forward Henrik Sedin was picked No. 3.
