Dukes’ Montiero Out 2-4 Games From Bar Injury

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — Duquesne guard B.J. Montiero is expected to miss the next 2-4 games with injuries sustained in the South Side Saturday night.

Montiero was hit by a bottle and needed stitches in his left hand and chin. According to the Pittsburgh Tribune Review, Montiero was standing near an altercation between two individuals when he was hit by the bottle. He was not involved in the dispute.

Montiero has played in 77 consecutive games and is the team’s second-leading scorer with 15.2 points. He leads the Dukes in rebounding, averaging 5.7 a game.
