Woman Hit By Plow In Washington Co.

FREDERICKTOWN (KDKA) -- Maleah Kiefer, 51, says she knows she us a lucky woman, telling KDKA-TV's Brenda Waters she could have been killed as the wheel of a snow plow narrowly missed her head.

Kiefer's car spun out on an icy road in Fredericktown, Washington County.

When she got out of her vehicle and began walking, the driver of a snow plow struck her, tossing her in the air.

She was taken to Mon Valley Hospital where she was treated for a broken finger and abrasions.

She is home now, but her 28-year-old son, Derrick Price who saw the accident, said he was angry that the road had not been salted long before 8 a.m. when the snow plow driver hit his mother.

That driver was said to have been pretty shaken up and police are investigating.
