FRIENDSHIP (KDKA) – A handful of students endured some tense moments Wednesday morning when their school bus caught on fire.

According to Pittsburgh Public Schools the incident happened in Friendship around 8:30 a.m.

Five students were on a Miltrans Bus Company bus when the driver noticed smoke coming from the front of the vehicle.

The driver pulled over and got the kids off the bus safely before flames broke out.

No one was injured and the students were transported to their school.
