Roethlisberger Suffers Setback, Expects To Play Against Denver

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The Pittsburgh Steelers are currently preparing for the Wild Card matchup with the Denver Broncos.

However, a star player is suffered a setback in his recovery from an injury suffered earlier this season.

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger announced that he had suffered a setback in his recovery during the team's 13-9 win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

Roethlisberger said he tweaked his ankle in the third quarter and it set his recovery back by one week. However, he did say he will play against the Broncos on Sunday.

Roethlisberger initially injured his ankle against the Browns in a Week 14 victory.

He went on to play against the San Francisco 49ers, but was ineffective and the Steelers lost 20-3. Roethlisberger was then held out against the Rams in Week 16 before returning to the lineup on Sunday.
