4-1-Zoo: Lucas Nix Charged With Three Summary Offenses

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Paul Zeise is reporting that Pitt offensive guard Lucas Nix has been charged with three summary offenses after an incident that took place in Pleasant Hills just after Christmas.

Zeise writes that Nix found out about the charges through the mail on Thursday. He reportedly came to the scene to help his brother, Nate, who called for help after getting into an altercation.

Pitt interim coach Keith Patterson issued a statement through the university Thursday evening.

"I was informed tonight of an incident involving Lucas Nix during the holiday break," Patterson said. "Before any determination is made on his status for Saturday's bowl game, I want to make sure I have all the necessary information about the occurrence to make the right decision. Lucas was not arrested and just learned of these summary charges tonight."

Nobody was hurt in the incident and no charges were immediately filed. Read Zeise's entire breakdown of the charges here.
