Steeler Fans In Denver Hold Their Own

LAKEWOOD, Colo. (KDKA) -- Nestled in the foothills of the Rockies in Lakewood, Jim Fisher's desk could be in RIDC Park or Southpointe.

He may live in the Denver area, but hails from Munhall and remains a Steelers season ticket holder.

"I try to get to two or three games a year," he said.

Jim loves nothing more than handing one of his Gambro colleagues his Steelers pen to jot a note or sign a document. He's doing all he can to ratchet up the talk.

"And they really don't want to talk about it," he said.

In fact, Jim says he almost feels sorry for them.

"They're saying, 'Well, maybe Tebow will be able to throw this time,' but I don't think anyone really thinks that the Broncos stand a chance," he said.

That is not the story you hear when you approach Shelly Raven's desk.

"I think they're going to win," she said.

But there's more.

"If I was being realistic, Pittsburgh's gonna come in here and kick our butts," she added.

Her cubical neighbor also bleeds orange and blue, but Alex doesn't mince words about Sunday's game.

He still stings from the AFC Championship game that sent the Steelers to Super Bowl XL.

"I'd like to get revenge on them but it ain't gonna happen," Alex said.

Jim isn't he only Steeler fan in the office. Linda Kyer is from North Folk, W. Va., and love the Steelers too.
