Bylsma: Sidney Crosby To Skate

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Penguins head coach Dan Bylsma says Sidney Crosby has joined the team and will skate on his own during the rest of the road trip.

He made this announcement while talking to reporters in Washington before the Penguins' game against the Capitals.

"Tonight, Sidney Crosby will be joining us on the road trip," Bylsma said. "He will be skating during this trip. He also will at some point in time address the media as well. No set plan, but this will happen in the next few days."

Crosby has been out with concussion-like symptoms since his comeback was cut short in early December. There in no timetable for his return.

"(Crosby) has been working out with light exercises in the weight room and on the bike," Bylsma said. "We'll be glad to see him on the ice."

The Penguins, dealing with multiple injuries, are on a five-game losing streak.
