Authorities Seek Woman In Monroeville Bank Robbery
MONROEVILLE (KDKA) -- The search is underway for a suspect after police say a woman robbed the PNC Bank at the Miracle Mile Shopping Center in Monroeville Saturday afternoon.
According to Monroeville police, the suspect went into the bank just before 12:20 p.m. and passed a note to teller, demanding money.
Police describe the suspect as a white female between five-foot-two and five-foot-four-inches tall. She was wearing a black tossle cap, black jacket with some sort of insignia and blue jeans.
Investigators say the suspect was also carrying a shopping bag with a handle when she came into the bank.
Monroeville police say the woman was able to get away with an undisclosed amount of money in a beige, canvas-type bag.
No one was injured during the incident.
