NORTH UNION TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — Officials say the shooting of a man with a bow and arrow was an accident.

The accident happened Monday – the last day of hunting season in Fayette County.

This happened in the woods behind Reppert Boulevard in North Union Township.

Tom Fazi with the Pennsylvania Game Commission says an archery hunter mistook the victim for a deer.

The victim was flown by medical helicopter to a hospital in Pittsburgh and is doing well.
