SWISSVALE (KDKA) — A suspect is in custody accused of robbing and shooting a man who was waiting for a bus last night in Swissvale.

Officials say the robbery happened around 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Busway Park and Ride on Vernon Street.

The robber shot the man in the hand during the hold up before taking off.

According to our news partners at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, police have identified the suspect as Stephen Donaldson, Jr., 26. In addition to robbery, Donaldson is now facing charges including aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.

The victim, identified by the PG as James Raffle, was taken to the hospital for treatment. He is expected to be okay.
