Recruit’s Coach Talks About What Kind Of Player Pitt Is Getting Next Year
PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) — Head Coach at Notre Dame Prep Ryan Hurd joined Seibel, Starkey and Miller on Sportsradio 93-7 The FAN to talk about two of his most recent Pitt recruits in Steven Adams and Khem Birch.
Hurd said that Adams doesn’t even understand how big of a deal he is around here, and part of what they’re doing at Notre Dame Prep is to help him get ready to deal with the media and expectations that will be thrust upon him.
Hurd also broke down what we will see from Adams next year describing him as a big man who will run the court and separate himself from everyone else with his offensive rebounding and a sneaky shot from outside the arc.
Hurd told us that when Adams got to Notre Dame Prep, he saw things in some of the team’s stars that needed to be changed for the team to win, and wasn’t afraid to step up and say something, showing the leadership Pitt can expect from him next year.
We wrapped things up with Hurd getting his thoughts on Khem Birch and how things went down at Pitt for him saying that Birch probably had some bad people giving him advice, and that he would have told him to stay at Pitt.
