PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – If you’re looking for some good old-fashioned family fun, head on out to Hidden Valley Resort this weekend for the 4th annual KDKA-TV/Pittsburgh’s CW Family SnowBlast!
The options are endless for those who want to take advantage of all the outdoor activities. All trails are now open for skiers, tubers and snowboarders and the resort now boasts a brand new terrain park for those seeking a more challenging ride.
Skiers are not limited by terrain at Hidden Valley. For those looking to take an off-trail route, three-and-a-half acres of glade skiing areas are open where riders can ski among the trees. Trails are cleared within heavily wooded areas, allowing both beginners and intermediates to ski comfortably in a new and exciting environment.
For those wishing to escape the cold, the resort will offer bonfire parties at night. Or if you’ve worked up an appetite out on the slopes, you can escape into one of Hidden Valley’s several pubs or restaurants and fill-up on a hot, delicious meal. The Clock Tower Restaurant is featuring a brand new Grecian shrimp pasta dish this weekend, sure to keep your body warm and your stomach happy.
Before heading up the ski lift, check out Hidden Valley’s retail shop, which offers all the latest high-tech gear for skiers and snowboarders, including jackets with protective pockets for iPods and funky and fun hats.
