Welker Mocks Brady's UGG Boots, Heated Toilet Seat

INDIANAPOLIS (CBS) - On the football field, Wes Welker has been Tom Brady's favorite target from the very moment the wide receiver joined the Patriots in 2007.

Off the field, however, it's Brady who is the target of some of Welker's playful verbal jabs.

Welker was asked Wednesday morning if he's ever successfully pranked Brady, and while Welker said he's yet to pull off a grand stunt, he pulls off his fair share of zingers.

Welker Takes Some Digs at Brady:

"Most of it is just like the one-liners," Welker explained. "Like, you know, he'll come in with his UGG boots and I'll be like, 'Killer boots, man! Those things are sweet.'"

"I pretty much make fun of his life most of the time and how terrible it is," Welker added.

"You go over and use his toilet, and you press this button, and it sprays water on you and all this stuff, and I'm like, 'You gotta be kidding me.' It's heated, it's all this stuff, and I'm like, 'This is crazy.'"

While the topic of heated toilet seats wasn't originally on the docket as a talking point for Welker, it came up when he was asked about his personality shining through on Twitter.

"[My personality] has been in hiding for so long," he said. "Beyond football and my [Bill] Belichick-type press conferences, I've actually got a sense of humor behind there. It's been kind of funny to sit there and say some funny stuff finally."

Welker also said that many folks weren't expecting him to throw around jokes on Twitter.

"I was actually surprised that they were surprised," he said. "I thought I've said some funny things in the past, apparently not funny enough or not often enough. But I was a little surprised that they were like, 'Oh my gosh, it's so funny.'"
