Mom Held For Court In 4-Year-Old's Death

POINT MARION (KDKA) -- Charges against a Point Marion woman filed in connection with the death of her 4-year-old son have been held for court.

Heather Forsythe, 27, was charged in December with one count of criminal homicide in connection with the death of her son, Trenton St. Clair.

The boy died back in September after being taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W. Va.

Forsythe's boyfriend, Patrick Haney, is also headed to trial on a charge of criminal homicide in the case.

Authorities said they believe the alleged abuse happened at a home in Point Marion where the couple was living.

Previously in court, a doctor from Ruby Memorial Hospital testified that the boy had likely been dead for some time before his mother and her boyfriend took him to the hospital.
