Latest Round Of Snow Moves Into Area

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Snow is in the forecast today, but it is not expected to be a major event.

According to KDKA-TV Meteorologist Dennis Bowman, the snow arrived in the mid-morning hours and will continue into the early afternoon.

Most of the area can expect to see about one to two inches. However, the ridges will see about two to four inches.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the Fayette and Westmoreland Ridges as well as parts of Somerset County until 10 p.m.

Partly cloudy skies and a low of 20 degrees can be expected this evening.

Thursday's forecast looks much better as it will be mostly sunny with a high of 38 degrees.

The next chance for snow will not be until Friday.
