1 Killed In North Side Shooting

NORTH SIDE (KDKA) – Police are investigating after a man was killed in a North Side shooting Friday afternoon.

According to police, the shooting happened at an apartment in the 1700-block of Termon Avenue just before 5 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found 35-year-old Sean Blackwell on the kitchen floor with a gunshot wound to the chest.

Blackwell was transported to Allegheny General Hospital where he was pronounced dead just before 7 p.m.

According to police, Blackwell arrived at the apartment with another man and were going to complete a drug deal. When they entered the kitchen, they were confronted by three African-American males.

One pulled out a gun and allegedly shot Blackwell, while another began assaulting his accomplice.

The three suspects left the scene in a white Ford 150 pickup truck and a dark green 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Police are looking for two people who may have been present at the time of the shooting.
