SHARPSBURG (KDKA) — A Monroeville man was injured in a hit-and-run.

He was getting out of his car on Main Street in Sharpsburg Friday night when he was hit.

A man who just arrived a nearby bar, Bobby Johnson, saw the accident and followed the driver.

Johnson said the driver was weaving as he tried to get away. He followed him to O’Hara Township, got his license plate number and called 911.

The driver was arrested in Fox Chapel and is facing charges of DUI, aggravated assault and leaving the scene of an accident.

An eyewitness said the victim was knocked to the ground and the driver just kept going. The victim was taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hosptial.

Police did not immediately release driver’s name.
