PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — One person had to be hospitalized after fire broke out overnight at a home on Pittsburgh’s North Side.

The blaze was reported just after 1 a.m. in the 200-block of Watson Boulevard in the Observatory Hill section of the city.

According to our news partners at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, it took fire crews more than three hours to bring the blaze under control and the home was completely destroyed.

One person suffered smoke inhalation. The Post-Gazette reports that the woman was taken to Allegheny General Hospital for treatment.

Arson squad investigators are probing the cause of the fire, which spread to the home next door, doing some damage to the front porch, the PG reports.
