PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) – Head coach of the Pitt Panthers, Paul Chryst joined the 93.7 The Fan Spring Football Special to preview spring practices. He joined Gregg Giannotti and Paul Alexander of the Fan Morning Show, along with Pitt football color analyst, Pat Bostick, and Panthers beat writer for the Post-Gazette, Paul Zeise.
Chryst has settled in to his new position as head coach and now feels comfortable with his players and staff. With the team learning a new system for the second straight year, Chryst says the best method is to take it day-by-day, saying, “each day you hope to build a layer.”
Tino Sunseri has an opportunity to prove that he belongs as the starting quarterback. But, as coach Chryst pointed out, there will be competition at the position with Mark Meyers and Chad Voytik.
The Panthers have already made a switch at offensive coordinator, but Chryst says it will not set the Panthers back at all.
