DERRY TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — A memorial service was held this weekend for a local middle school teacher who was found dead last month in Westmoreland County.

The service was held Sunday evening at the Derry Area Middle School.

Rebecca Stahl worked there as a math teacher.

In February, her body was found under a blanket in an old nursery in Unity Township.

David Stahl, Rebecca’s husband, is accused in connection with her death.

Authorities have said leaves from shrubbery at the nursery were found on his boots and a bag containing Rebecca’s driver’s license and school ID were found in a freezer in the basement of Stahl’s home.
