Warm Weather Sticking Around, But Storms Could Move Through

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The warm temperatures are sticking around, but some showers and thunderstorms could move through the area today.

KDKA meteorologist Dennis Bowman says the warm weather will be in place for the foreseeable future.

He says there will be a shower or a thunderstorm from time to time today, with the most active period in the afternoon.

The high today is expected to reach 76. The record high is 80, which was set in 1990.

As for tonight, Bowman says it will be mainly cloudy with a thundershower possible and a low of 57 degrees.

Meanwhile, the unsettled weather will continue into Saturday.

It will not wash out any of the days ahead, but Friday and Saturday will both feature scattered showers and thunderstorms.

Bowman says the high on Friday will be near 70, and then we will be back to a high of 76 on Saturday.
