Mayor Ravenstahl Fills In For Marty Griffin On KDKA Radio

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl put on a different hat today and filled in as radio show host on NewsRadio 1020 KDKA.

Mayor Ravenstahl filled in for KDKA's Marty Griffin Friday morning from 9 a.m. to noon.

He opened the phone lines to anyone who wanted to call in and ask him a question.

The subjects ranged from the Vice President's visit this weekend to the NCAA Tournament coming to town.

So, what was it like for Mayor Ravenstahl to take Marty's place for a day?

"He does a great job on this show. He has a huge audience. He does good work. He asks the tough questions and that's why his show has been so successful, and to sit in his shoes for three hours is fun," said Mayor Ravenstahl. "He always tells me how he could be the mayor, and so now, I'm filling in for him and enjoying myself."

If you're wondering if Marty was listening - he was.

As a matter of fact, he called the show to thank Mayor Ravenstahl for filling in for a day.
