TV Show Reveals New Details On Armored Truck Heist Suspect

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Ken Konias, the suspect in the Strip District armored truck heist, was featured on Friday night's edition of "America's Most Wanted" and the show revealed new information about the accused killer that even his closest friends didn't know.

Producers of the Lifetime Network broadcast interviews with local law enforcement officials.

Pittsburgh Police Detective Peg Sherwood said on the show, "There was information that he may even have bisexual tendencies. He may go to a gay club or a strip club."

Konias also prefers high-end clothing and fancy restaurants.

He's been on the run since his partner, Michael Haines, was shot in the head February 28th. An estimated $2.3 million was stolen from the armored truck.

"Something caused him to do it that morning," said Sherwood. "It was going to happen, but something happened that morning that made him snap."
