5 Injured In Accident At Maryland Ski Resort

GARRETT COUNTY, Md. (KDKA) -- Five people were hurt in a tubing mishap Saturday at the Wisp Ski Resort in Garrett County, Maryland.

The injured were among 12 people in a cardboard box race. They reportedly veered into a pole that was part of a snow-making machine.

It's not known how seriously they were hurt.

The injured, including two children, were transported to West Virginia University's Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W. Va.

Saturday marked the official end to the resort's ski season.
