RICHLAND TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — One person is hurt and part of the Turnpike was blocked this morning following and accident in Richland Township.

Officials with the Turnpike say the accident happened at mile marker 36.7 and totally blocked the westbound side of the road between the Cranberry exit and the Butler Valley exit.

A tractor trailer and another vehicle were involved in the crash.

NewsChopper 2 flew over the scene showing a tow truck removing an SUV from the roadway.

One man reportedly suffered a head injury. There is no word on his condition.
