2 Shootings In Homewood Investigated

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Police responded to two separate shootings in Homewood.

The first happened just before 6 p.m. at the corner of Bennett and Collier streets.

A man riding a dirt bike crashed in the middle of the gunfire after he was hit by a vehicle.

He was taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.

Another shooting happened in the 7300-block of Hamilton Avenue at about 7:30 p.m.

A man was reportedly shot in the lower back.

There is no word on his condition.
