Boy, 5, Hit By Car In Bridgeville

BRIDGEVILLE (KDKA) – Police are investigating after a 5-year-old boy was hit by a car in Bridgeville Tuesday afternoon.

According to police, the incident happened in the 500-block of Washington Avenue around 1 p.m.

The child was walking with his mother, who was also had a baby carrier with a 5-month-old child. They were crossing the street when a car coming off of nearby Bank Street struck the 5-year-old boy and knocked him out of his shoes.

He ended up on the hood of the car, but was up and walking around when police arrived.

The child was taken to St. Clair Hospital to be checked out.

Citations are expected to be issued to the driver.
