Crews Battle Intense Penn Hills Fire
PENN HILLS (KDKA) – A vacant home in Penn Hills went up in flames early Tuesday morning.
According to neighbors, the fire started in the 800-block of Fifth Street around 1 a.m.
Neighbors said the home had been vacant for years.
In addition to dealing with the intense flames, firefighters also had to deal with an apparent nearby transformer blowing up.
The cause of the fire is unknown and there are no reported injuries at this time.
