Connellsville Math Teacher Accused Of Sexting Student

CONNESLLVILLE (KDKA) -- A high school teacher in Fayette County is accused of sexting a student.

Kevin Bell, 26, was escorted out of Connellsville High School Tuesday at request of principal after Pennsylvania State Police initiated this investigation.

Bell played basketball at Connellsville High School and now a math teacher and high school girls basketball coach, Bell has found himself in trouble.

According to a criminal complaint filed by state police, Bell exchanged Facebook messages with a 17-year-old girl he taught last year and proceeded to exchange phone numbers.

Bell and the student then sent one another inappropriate photos and videos.

Bell allegedly called the 17-year-old girl more than 20 times in one night, telling her if she said a word about what happened he would never talk to her again.

Police were able to file charges after searching Bell's phone this week.

State police are in contact with Bell's attorney and are coordinating a time for him to turn himself in and be arraigned on charges.

Bell faces one count each of obscene and other sexual materials and performances and corruption of minors.
