Wiz Khalifa Buys Home In Washington County
CANONSBURG (KDKA) -- His music suggests that he is pure Pittsburgh, and now rapper Wiz Khalifa is a homeowner in Washington County.
The 3,800-square foot contemporary home sits tucked away in a quiet, little valley of Canonsburg.
It is a three-bedroom, 2 ½-bath home in a suburban setting.
KDKA's Rick Dayton rang the bell, but no one was home.
The real estate agent who represented the rapper confirms that he bought the house in January, and the former owners said they sold their home to the famous rapper.
KDKA got photographs of the interior of $900,000 house. Brazilian hardwoods are a prominent feature, as are stainless steel appliances and granite countertops in the kitchen.
Khalifa's given name is the only name on the deed registered at the Washington County Courthouse, but the name of his mother - Katie Wimbush - appears on the mortgage papers, suggesting it could be a home he bought for his mom.
Regardless, it will be a beautiful place for him to stay when he comes back home to follow his favorite teams.
