Monroeville Restaurant Owner Charged With Theft, Fraud

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The owner of a prominent Monroeville restaurant is charged with theft and fraud.

Pennsylvania State Police arrested Brent Bowen at the poker tables at the Rivers Casino early Thursday morning.

A criminal complaint indicates Bowen is the owner of Nardi's Fine Dining Restaurant in Monroeville.

The criminal complaint alleges Bowen received $20,000 from a Pittsburgh attorney in exchange for part ownership in his business.

Police say the attorney never received ownership papers.

A record search by the KDKA Investigators shows Bowen has more than $200,000 in civil and criminal claims against him.
