LOYALHANNA TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — State police are investigating a fatal head-on crash in Loyalhanna Township, Westmoreland County.

The accident happened on Route 981 at Pump Station Road at about 2 p.m. Thursday.

The Westmoreland County Coroner reports that 62-year-old Thomas Naccarato, of New Alexandria, was killed.

Naccarato was driving an SUV northbound on Route 981 when he collided with a pick-up truck headed southbound.

There’s no word on the condition of the second driver.

No other details were immediately available.
