EAST LACKAWANNOCK TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — A fire sent Hazmat crews and firefighters to a wooded-area of Mercer County overnight.

Authorities say about 30 barrels of magnesium caught on fire in the woods near Bestwick Road in East Lackawannock Township.

There was no word of any evacuations in the area.

Emergency officials in Mercer County say the scene was cleared around 2:30 a.m. and no injuries were reported.

So far, there is no word on what caused the fire.
