PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Congressman Mark Critz picked up a big-named endorsement.

President Bill Clinton is throwing his support behind Critz over Jason Altmire.

“I am proud to endorse Mark Critz for Congress,” President Clinton said in a statement released by the Critz campaign.

“I know that Mark will continue his work to create jobs, strengthen the middle class, to protect Social Security and Medicare, and do what is right for western Pennsylvania and our nation.”

Critz is debuting a TV new commercial touting Clinton’s support.

Critz and Altmire are fighting for the Democratic nomination in the 12th Congressional District.
