1 Killed In Parkway East Crash In Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – One person was killed in an early Sunday morning accident on the Parkway East in Pittsburgh.

According to state police, the accident happened on the Grant Street exit ramp around 2 a.m.

A 2004 Volkswagen Jetta was traveling east on the westbound Grant Street exit and collided with a vehicle coming the opposite direction.

The driver’s side front ends of both vehicles collided, causing both vehicles to spin out of control before coming to rest.

The driver of the Volkswagen was taken to UPMC Mercy Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead around 3:40 a.m.

She has been identified as 21-year-old Audrey Warming.

Four other people were injured in the accident, but are expected to survive.

Names of the other victims have not been released.
