Crews Battle Munhall Duplex Fire

MUNHALL (KDKA) – Firefighters were called to the scene of a house fire in Munhall Sunday morning.

According to officials at the scene, the fire broke out at a duplex in the 900-block of Ravine Street around 9:30 a.m.

The fire is believed to have started in the occupied half of the duplex.

"We had to go to a third alarm just because it depletes the man power as the fire went on," said Munhall Fire Chief Brian Verbanick. "Crews inside reported that the structure was really hot inside, so some of the guys - we were rotating them out through a rehab unit. We had an EMS on scene, and we were just rotating fresh guys in from our neighboring communities."

There were no reports of injuries. There is also no word on what caused the blaze.
