Lawrence County Fire Injures 1

SHENANGO TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – One man was seriously injured in a house fire in Lawrence County overnight.

According to officials at the scene, the fire broke out around midnight at a home in the 1100-block of Roosevelt Street in Shenango Township.

Two people were able to get out, but a man ran back inside the burning home to save his cat.

He suffered some burns and smoke inhalation as a result.

There is no word on the fate of his cat.

A neighbor heard a crackling noise when the fire first sparked and called for help.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
