First Lady, Mitt Romney To Visit Area Today

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – As the presidential campaign prepares to kick into full gear, some big names will be visiting the area on Tuesday.

First Lady Michell Obama's visit is mostly a fundraiser for her husband's re-election campaign, although she will be greeted by 911th Senior Airman Dominic Mash, his wife and newborn.

Mash was featured on a syndicated television show meeting his baby for the first time after service overseas.

Later, Mrs. Obama will move to the Rivers Club for a late afternoon event.

Mrs. Obama's first fundraising event there is a $250-per-person event. Then, she will move over to a private residence where the ticket price goes up to $10,000 a person.

On the Republican side of things, Mitt Romney will also be making the rounds.

Romney will be holding a political round table and community discussion in Bethel Park at 12:30 p.m.

He will then head off to Lancaster for the Lancaster County GOP Annual Dinner this evening.
