New Attractions At 2012 Steelers Fan Blitz

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Steeler fans will have the opportunity to experience Steeler football like never before.

This weekend, the team is celebrating 80 years with its annual fan blitz at Heinz Field.

You can see Steelers artifacts and even get to see things never before opened to the public like the team's locker room.

Fans will be able to even go on the field and kick a field goal.

Plus, there's the new Terrible Towel wall.

"They've been on the Great Wall of China, the Eiffel Tower and in fact one of the astronauts had it an outer space," Steelers Marketing Director Tony Quatrini said.

You can also attend meet-and-greets with several players, including first-round draft pick David DeCastro.

"Our fans – they just have such a voracious appetite for the Steelers that in a lot of ways the start of the actual season is Draft Day," Quatrini said.

There are youth skill sessions, face painting and you can get your hands on the special 80th anniversary merchandise.

The event is from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $12 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.
