Police, Bomb Squad Give All Clear At Castle Shannon Bank

CASTLE SHANNON (KDKA) -- Several roads were shut down and the First National Bank in Castle Shannon had to be evacuated today over a bomb threat.

The bank is located in the 600-block of Castle Shannon Boulevard near Cooke Lane.

According to Allegheny County Police, the threat was called in by phone and indicated "there was a bomb on their premises."

Police and the bomb squad were called to the scene and the building was evacuated.

Police say the Allegheny County Bomb Squad cleared the building and determined there was no threat.

The investigation into the incident continues.
