Eric LeGrand: A True Inspiration

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) - On Oct. 16, 2010, Rutgers Sophomore defensive tackle, Eric LeGrand was paralyzed from the neck down following an on-field collision. Eric has been recovering since the injury and has rehabilitated to the point where he is walking again.

In a very classy move by his former coach at Rutgers, Greg Schiano, Eric was signed to a professional contract with Schiano's current team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The move was to inspire the Bucs and to prove that if you stay motivated, you can defy the odds and overcome obstacles.

The Fan Morning Show spoke to Eric on Wednesday about his injury, rehabilitation, and how special it is to achieve his dream of being signed to, and be part of an NFL team:
