Beaver Co. Couple Sues Noisy Neighbor

RACCOON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – A couple in Beaver County is suing their next door neighbor, claiming they're being harassed with noise.

Matthew and Melissa Rabassi, of Raccoon Township, are suing James Petrella.

They claim in the suit that the trouble started after they complained about vehicles accumulating on Petrella's land.

They allege Petrella then began turning on his lawnmower at 7:30 a.m. but doesn't cut any grass.

They also claim he has a radio directed at them that runs on a timer to play 15 hours a day, from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.

The couple claims in the suit that they've called either Raccoon Township Police or State Police 20 different times.

They also claim they had a mediation session with Petrella and Raccoon Township Police, but it did no good.

A lawyer for the couple would not talk on camera.

Petrella told KDKA through a neighbor that he couldn't talk until he consulted his attorney.

The case is due in court next Wednesday.
