Westmoreland County Public Alert System
Westmoreland County has started a new public alert system to keep residents informed.
The Pittsburgh Tribune Review reports that the county will start sending text alerts for local emergencies and weather warnings.
County employees and the public can register through the Park Police section of the county's website.
