Missing North Side Boy Went Looking For Grandmother

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A young boy who went missing on Pittsburgh's North Side this morning has been located safe and sound.

Authorities say 4-year-old Lamar Snead had last been seen around 9 a.m. along California Avenue.

"My son was in the room, he was sleep," Latrice Snead, the boy's mother, said. "My mom went up the street to her house to get some coffee. She came back down the street and my son was missing."

An aunt and a cousin were in the house, but somehow, Lamar escaped everyone's attention.

Three hours later, they found him. Lamar was looking for his grandmother as she was looking for him.

"No I wasn't hiding," he said. "I was looking for her, but I couldn't [find her]."

A police officer told Lamar to tell an adult where you're going. It's also a reminder for anyone caring for a child to keep your eyes open.
