CONNELLSVILLE (KDKA) — Two men were injured in a police chase in Connellsville.

Connellsville police say they were on their way to check out a report of a reckless driver in the 300-block of South Pittsburgh Street when they spotted a silver Camaro in 1100-block of the same street.

During the pursuit, a police cruiser rear-ended the car after the driver slammed on the brakes. After the accident, the driver kept going and eventually crashed on Springfield Pike.

The driver and a passenger were flown to hospitals in Pittsburgh. Police have not released their names.
