PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — The Pittsburgh Pirates have recalled outfielder Alex Presley from Triple-A Indianapolis.
He will join the team tonight in Cincinnati.
Presley was sent down to the minors May 16 after a long stretch of struggling at the plate. After starting the year on a tear, Presley’s average dropped to .220 before his demotion.
Presley has turned things around lately and put together a .277 average with five home runsĀ in Triple-A, spurring his recall.
A corresponding move has not yet been announced.
