Police Search Home Of Retirement Center Security Guard

SCOTT TOWNSHIP (KDKA) - More charges are expected to be filed against a security guard accused of breaking into homes in an upscale retirement community.

According to police, Steven Kowalski, 49, of Baldwin, was arrested in connection with as many as 13 break-ins at the upscale Providence Point retirement community in Scott Township.

Kowalski allegedly stole a master key to enter the apartments when he knew the residents would not be around.

On Tuesday, police searched his home in Baldwin for more stolen goods.

Kowalski allegedly stole up to $150,000 worth of jewelry and other valuables and then sold them at local pawn shops.
