Wet Weather Moves Into Area

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Another round of wet weather is heading our way.

Meteorologist Kristin Emery says showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast for this evening. And those storms could bring gusty winds and heavy downpours.

"You'll notice this huge line of showers and thunderstorms, a lot of lightning embedded in these storms," said Emery. "We haven't had very many warnings with this. Out towards the Columbus area about two hours ago, they did have a couple of severe thunderstorm warnings just about 4, 4:30 [p.m.], but those have now expired; so, that line is marching toward the east."

As that line moves in tonight, there have been some isolated storms popping up across the area throughout the day.

The severe weather is expected to die down though as we lose the heat of the day.

Emery says tonight's low will be 64 degrees.

On Monday, she says we can expect a high of 83 with some scattered thunderstorms.
