KENNEDY TOWNSHIP (KDKA) — Police are investigating a shooting in Kennedy Township.

A man, believed to be about 20 years old, was reportedly shot in the head in the 5000-block of Julia Lane at about 8 p.m. Monday. He was last reported to be in grave condition.

The man’s parents were home at the time of the shooting.

“It’s stupid for anything like this to happen,” Vininy Garofalo, a friend of the victim, said. “It’s a kid that’s 20. His life’s gone for no reason.”

Police are looking for four men who sped away in a maroon Chevy that fled from the scene.

More than a dozen investigators including homicide detectives and county bomb squad are involved in the search.

There is no word on what may have led to the shooting.
